It is by invitation only (you can thank my old neighbour, his bonkers mad following, the green eyed followers, his financial adviser lol and their little trollites) - but you know, it really is a nicer place rather than being watched constantly by a bunch of tossers.

Any new GENUINE members here, please do go ahead and post - we will be popping by to clean up the cobwebs etc. and will certainly be around - we've just taken the more chatty stuff elsewhere.

Words do not describe the situation I've just left - or how I felt

When I had NFH I was terrified out of my life, this situation is more like utter misery and hopelessness that no matter what you do or how well you do it nothing will be right and you will always be blamed.

I will start at the end and work from there.

The End is I left with no job to go to but the glimmer of a hope of a possible business of my own.

The stupidest reason for me leaving is over a drink!

The most serious was the endangering of lives by the company I worked for.

At the moment I dont know where to start because some of it is so silly and yet some of it really serious.

But one thing is that I have no regrets for leaving or the reasons why.

As Smoo said to me - put all the effort you've put into increasing that businesses takeover by 2/3'ds whilst your boss has been away and put all the effort into your own pocket instead of someone elses - it was the push I needed!

The small thing - the drink!

We had a rota last year where by we all took it in turns to bring in tea coffee and sugar regardless of what you drank or not - it worked.

This year the only people who bring stuff in are me and the boss - the new guy waasnt even told about the rota the others just didnt bother.

So me the least paid and the least hours there ended up alternating with the boss til I suggested a kitty - this was ok only the boss refused to put in til he'd recouped the money he'd already paid out but wouldnt let me do the same and said only the new guy had to put in as the others werent there all the week (well nor was I)

So the kitty idea was scraped after enough money was raised from it to buy the next lot of stuff - after that it went..... the boss, me, the new guy and then no one bothered - the boss didnt insist the others pitched in so we went to the coffee shop (the new guy and I) and bought for each other and no one else. We then decided that on our work days together one would bring in the coffee and the other the tea for us for those days and then the boss and the others all started to moan about there being nothing for them.

Nothing was ever sorted - the boss was away the last 3 weeks I worked and me and the new guy just pitched in between us.

Pathetic reason to get wound up about but it was just one more nail in the coffin about the place. - just another unfairness.

Wont bother you with the more serious side of things now - cant even get my own head round it yet!! However i feel like yelling hypocritical tossing bastards at them and dobbing them in to the authorities! but I think they are in enough hot soup and if they get closed down so much the better!

Ok rant over for now!

Hello,

My name is Yi Win and I've been away for a little while so I thought I'd introduce myself to you all............again!!! :yikes:

I've been having a bit of a bad time recently and have had to make a few tough decisions in my life. :wallbash:

I have felt that when I have logged onto the forum I've been unable to constructively offer anybody help in thier current appalling circumstances due to my own current issues and this upset me so I kept avoiding the computer til my brain had stopped dribbling out of my toes

It's kind of finding it's way back to my head now! I think :think005:

So here I am again - I will be going for a nice rant in the steam room :thatsit:about whats happened to get it all off my chest once and for all and then I will tell you all about my new begining.

I would also like to thank certain members on here for putting up with my private rants to them over the phone or via email and for the continued support and advice they have constantly offered to me in helping me completely change my life around. :cheer:

I wont embarass you my naming names but :signs101: guys! :cool1:

:cool1:

Hi all,

Just thought I would share a wonderful service I came across on Monday.

Our cat got a tapeworm (poor soul) and as my diary is mega full this week I couldn't get to the vet so I had a look online to find a treatment for her on the basis that it would be quicker. I came across the following website where the drugs are not only exactly the same as the one's from the vet, but they are in general half the price. I placed my order on Monday afternoon and they came yesterday morning...got six months flea treatment for the dog (frontline spot on) and 5 worm tablets for both the dog and cat (drontal) for less than £50, and I didn't have to pay the vet to tell me the cat's got a worm :think005: ...that's a bargain in my book.

http://www.animalmedicines.co.uk/home.php

Oh, I forgot, delivery is free and they also do prescription only drugs (which you need to see the vet to get signed but it shouldn't cost you after the consultation has been done - useful for long term conditions). Oooo and you can still claim on your pet insurance. :cool1:

I hope this helps you. In the current climate we need to save money wherever possible.

Just had to tell you all that when I was watering my pot plants the other morning, something moved in the undergrowth on looking closely I discovered I had soaked a little bird it's eyes not opened yet, with hardly any feathers to it's name and a bit of "Down" showing in tufts above its eye - it was too small to make out what breed of bird it was, then I noticed another soaked little bird & another & another, 4 baby birds in all. One unfortunately looked as if it had injured it's eye a bit of blood down the eye and on it's beak. (so sad).

I rushed in doors got a basket placed some cloth in the basket and bunched them together in there after trying my best to dry them off first - hoping that the warmth from their own bodies together would help them warm up. I then placed them outside right near where I found them hoping to see a parent come and try and feed them, but nothing, I was vigilant for a very long time yet nothing knowing they need to be fed at least every 15 mins I was getting desperate knowing I had found them and wondered if I should intervene and start feeding - well at least try, I could not leave them there to perish especially after finding them alive, I knew the internet would help if only I knew what bird I was dealing with!! (they were too small to be recognised as anything except BIRDS)

Now we have House Martins, who regularly come in from Africa every April to nest in the eves of our house and I love to see them arrive as it conveys to me that Spring is here at last!! They collect the clay to build their nests from the river in the valley and fly up to our eves and start working at building their nests, if any old nests still remain after the Winter they occupy them once again, unless a House Sparrow has got there first (which does happen)!!

Well with the strong winds last week-end this nest must have plummeted down and broke up (as there was a lot of moulded mud debris near by) This was the alarm bell that got me thinking they could be baby House Martins!! fallen out of the nest as the nest dissintergrated. I was almost positive so went on the net to get information to help me - it says that House Martins are deminishing in numbers and we must do all we can to save them - and for people that get them into the garden and nesting under eves should do all to protect them. You will be pleased to know I have done all to protect them and am still doing my bit ............... they have all survived even the little one with a bad eye (the eye looks as if it's healing and has opened) the others are all in good fettle too.

This is my 4th day of looking after the ever demanding feeding habits of my little orphans and they are surviving on dog food mulshed up....in fact I can hear them calling for me now to feed them further.

They have started getting feathers of black & white with a little forked tail's (which confirms they are House Martins now) I have to work hard to have them fit for their long migatory flight back to Africa which happens usually in September/October.

Forgot to mention that we had a Kestral come down land on a topiary ball I have planted next to our front door and was just about to swoop on them when I saw it off - then our resident squirrel also took a keen interest in the 4 fledglings - (squirrels too would eat them) so my decision to at least try and save them, I feel was right.

They are warm well looked after and fed. I also learnt that House Martins do not go on the ground to feed their young should they fall out of the nest - so everything should be done to try and save the little ones. Unless you can get to placing the fledgling back in the nest - as you know this was not an option as the nest had broken into pieces.

Oh well, I suppose I had better get back to duty and start feeding them all over again - cute little things. Oh my time in the countryside is never dull so much to do you know.

The fun and games will come when they fledge - how will I cope with them then before they fly off to Africa? - they grow quite fast, you know!!

LOL lol.

When I phoned up to the police but they insisted that the group of teenagers were not breaking any law and refused to action to disperse the noisy group.

Police also said anti social behaviour is not criminal activities therefore they cannot take any action.

I thought there is an Anti social behavour law. Do you know how to apply to seek help from the police ?

Please advise.
An e-mail from Susannah Prins, of 'I Want a Referendum' Fame, asking that we sign a petition :

Quote:Susannah Prins wrote:
Last Friday the people of Ireland voted to reject the Lisbon Treaty.

But politicians across Europe are refusing to accept the result. They arrogantly insist that the Treaty must go ahead anyway. Despite the no vote, the UK Government is planning to carry on regardless, and ratify the Treaty in the House of Lords on Wednesday.

This is part of an attempt to isolate and bully the people of Ireland.

Please take 30 seconds to send a message to Gordon Brown by signing the petition on the Downing Street website.

Tell Gordon to respect the verdict of the Irish people - and drop the Treaty.
How politicians are refusing to listen to the no vote

French Europe Minister Jean-Pierre Jouyet says: “I don’t think you can say the treaty of Lisbon is dead even if the ratification process will be delayed.”

German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier says: “We are sticking with our goal for it to come into force. The ratification process must continue.”

Spanish Europe Minister Lopez Garrido says: “The treaty will be applied, albeit a few months late.”

European Commission President Jose Barroso says: “The Treaty is not dead. The Treaty is alive, and we will try to work to find a solution.”

British Foreign Minister David Miliband says: “18 countries have now passed the reform treaty…each country must see the ratification process to a conclusion… there needs to be a British view as well as an Irish view.”
Oh How I had come to reply on them since the NFH - it's amasing how naked you feel going out without them imagining everyone looking at you and when you are looking to spot the NFH so you can avoid them you have to look and risk being seen instead of sheltering behind those shades.

It's amazing how odd it feels without them and i didnt realise how much of my confidence in town was due to people not being able to "see" me and yet I could look at them and they'd not know!
Anyway i've a great pair from pound stretcher at a grand £2.99 now!
Yesterday evening it was so pleasant here I went for a walk to meet son from work.
It is a quiet walk with houses one side, open views and fields the other.
I was walking along and heard a bit of commotion behind me but didn't turn around to look when a girl [in her teens] ran past.
Suddenly I felt a sharp pain on the back of my head and knew I had been hit by something - it was quite a shock as I had no idea what had hit me. I automatically put my hand up to check if it was bleeding and turned around to see what was going on.
There stood a nother female [teenager] and a youngish child - I shouted out "Did you just throw something at me? " The child said "NO" so I looked at the teenager who was smirking.
It was the child, I could tell from his face so I said angrily "That is dangerous, it really hurt, the least you could do is say sorry!" with which they both ran to join the girl in front of me totally ignoring me.
The girl in front did say to the boy to say sorry but he ran off totally unbothered.
